AWS Experience
I did not just study AWS. I used it to ship a production application.
Visual Tizita runs in production on Amazon Cognito, AWS AppSync, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, and AWS Amplify. That hands on experience is what I am now applying to a larger AWS native platform, Nehas Digital Signage.
Production AWS Experience
Visual Tizita: the deep dive
Visual Tizita
Production event platform with no-account guest uploads, private galleries, moderation, downloads, slideshow, guestbook, analytics, cover artwork, QR sharing, and host operations.
- Host authentication and identity with Amazon Cognito
- GraphQL APIs and authorization with AWS AppSync
- Application data in Amazon DynamoDB
- Media storage in Amazon S3
- Hosted and deployed with AWS Amplify
- 974 automated tests across 72 files at the NACLASSU milestone
- Production deployment and regional environment management
Visual Tizita Architecture

React Application
React + Vite frontend, shared by guests and hosts
AWS Amplify · Build, Host, Deploy
Amazon Cognito
Host authentication
AWS AppSync
GraphQL API + authorization
Amazon DynamoDB
Events, guestbook, comments, loves
Amazon S3
Uploaded photos, event covers
Amplify builds and deploys the frontend and AWS backend together, including the production environment running in Oregon (us-west-2).
Client
React + Vite
Guest and host experiences share one frontend, with routes and permissions split by role.
Authentication
Amazon Cognito
Handles host sign in, identity, and session management. Guest access does not require an account.
API
AWS AppSync
GraphQL API in front of the application data, enforcing ownership rules between hosts, events, and guest uploads.
Data
Amazon DynamoDB
Stores events, guest metadata, guestbook entries, comments, and love reactions.
Media
Amazon S3
Stores uploaded photos and event cover images.
Workflows
AWS Lambda
Runs backend workflows such as event archive generation and operational access paths.
Deployment
AWS Amplify
Builds, hosts, and deploys the application, including the production environment in Oregon (us-west-2).
AWS Projects
Where AWS shows up across my work
Production, deployed development, and planned architecture are kept clearly separate.
AWS Services
AWS services I have worked with
Authentication and Identity
Amazon Cognito
Secure host authentication, identity, and session management.
Hosts need real accounts and access control, while guests need to contribute without one. Cognito handles the host side so authorization rules have a real identity to check against.
Used in Visual TizitaAPIs and Data
AWS AppSync
GraphQL API layer with built in authorization.
Every read and write needs an ownership check between hosts, events, and guest uploads. AppSync resolvers enforce that at the API layer instead of trusting the client.
Used in Visual TizitaAmazon DynamoDB
NoSQL database for application data.
Events, guest metadata, guestbook entries, comments, and love reactions all need fast, predictable reads and writes at event time.
Used in Visual TizitaStorage
Amazon S3
Object storage for uploaded photos and event cover images.
Guest uploads need durable, scalable storage that can handle bursts of photo uploads during an event.
Used in Visual TizitaDeployment and Environment Management
AWS Amplify
Builds, hosts, and deploys the frontend and AWS backend together.
Running a real production AWS application as a solo developer means deployment has to stay manageable. Amplify ties the frontend and backend into one deployable unit, including the production environment in Oregon (us-west-2).
Used in Visual TizitaAWS AppConfig
Centralized configuration and kill switches for platform behavior.
A signage fleet needs controlled feature and integration behavior without redeploying every screen. The development platform uses AppConfig-backed controls for operational configuration and kill switches.
Used in Nehas Digital SignageAWS Native Systems in Development
Applying that experience to Nehas Digital Signage
Nehas is a new AWS-native platform with its development backend, console, and player deployed in us-west-2. Production remains behind explicit acceptance gates.
Nehas Digital Signage
Development PASS / production NO-GO. The AWS development backend, console, and player are live in us-west-2; production deployment, signed Windows distribution, physical device acceptance, and human-owned provider configuration remain incomplete. The earlier Supabase system is reference-only and was not migrated.
